Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of CourtMan at https://courtman.ostaran.com (the "Service"), provided by Star Analytix Pvt Ltd("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the firm or organisation you register (the "Customer").

1. The Service

CourtMan is a software tool that reads documents uploaded by the Customer, extracts case facts and generates draft legal documents (such as consumer complaints, written statements, affidavits and written arguments) using artificial intelligence.

2. Not legal advice; professional responsibility

The Service is a drafting aid for advocates, law firms and insurance professionals. It does not provide legal advice, does not act for any party, and does not appear before or file documents with any court or commission. Every draft must be reviewed, verified against the original documents, corrected where needed and adopted by a qualified advocate before use. The Customer remains solely responsible for anything filed, sent or relied upon.

3. Accuracy of AI output

AI-generated content can contain errors or omissions, including incorrect facts, figures, dates, citations or translations. The Service shows source references and automated checks to assist review, but these do not guarantee accuracy. Drafts in languages other than English, and any translation, must be checked by a competent reviewer.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for users you invite to your organisation. Notify us immediately at ai@ostaran.com of any unauthorised access.

5. Customer data and confidentiality

The Customer retains all rights in documents and data it uploads ("Customer Data"). The Customer confirms it has the right and any necessary consent to upload Customer Data, including personal and health information of clients and third parties. We process Customer Data only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy, keep it confidential, and do not use it to train AI models. Each organisation's data is logically isolated from other customers.

6. Fees and payment

Paid plans, credits or per-case charges are shown before purchase and are payable in Indian Rupees inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by our payment partner; we do not store card details. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to create false or misleading documents, to fabricate evidence, to infringe anyone's rights, to upload malware, to attempt to access other customers' data, or in breach of any law or professional conduct rules.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, templates, branding and the CourtMan mascot belong to Star Analytix Pvt Ltd. Subject to these terms and payment of fees, drafts generated for the Customer may be used by the Customer for its professional purposes.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may improve or change features, and will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on a draft that was not reviewed as required by section 2. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees paid by the Customer in the three months before the claim arose.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. On termination we will delete Customer Data as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
